Respawn Entertainment announces that Titanfall will no longer be sold

Respawn Entertainment, also known for the Titanfall series and Apex Legends, has indicated in a message on Twitter that it will stop selling the first Titanfall. They have also indicated that the game will no longer be offered in subscription services from March 1, 2022.

The over seven-year-old game was very ambitious for its time. The combination of a shooter and operating Titans was innovative and the Tweet also mentions that it was a pillar of innovation for the developers. The game still has a fixed group of enthusiasts, who enjoy competing against each other in the multiplayer mode. For these players it is still possible to play the game, because the servers remain online.

Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends are other games from Respawn based on the same universe and will continue to be available. The exact reason why Titanfall is no longer sold is not stated.
