Richard Gere is going to the small screen: Apple is approaching a series order for a drama starring the Pretty Woman actor and written by Howard Gordon (Patria), reports our sister site Deadline.
Based on the Israeli series Nevelot, the untitled project of eight episodes follows "two senior Vietnam veterans and best friends – one of whom is played by Gere – who find their monotonous lives screwed up when a woman they both loved fifty years ago is killed by a & # 39; car ", for Deadline. "Their regrets and lifelong secrets collide with their resentment for today's absorbed millennials and an act of self-defense in snowballs in a tragic series of events."
Gere will also be an executive producer along with showrunners Gordon and Warren Leight (Law & Order: SVU).
