Rosselkhoznadzor forbade the importation of apples from Belarus under the guise of Turkish
Since March 22, the Rosselkhoznadzor has banned the import of "Turkish" apples into Russia through Belarus. This is indicated in the message service, received in RBC.
"Due to the high risks of importing sanctions products under the guise of products manufactured in Turkey for the transit of Russia through Belarus, the Rosselkhoznadzor has decided to ban the re-export of fresh apples from the Republic of Belarus from 22 March "says the message.
Rosselkhoznadzor added that he repeatedly asked his colleagues in Belarus to confirm the country of origin of products from third countries, which are sent for re-export to Russia. The service added that despite this, Belarus continues to receive products with inaccurate information in the certificates.
For example, in March 2019, apples arrived in Russia, which according to documents were produced in Turkey. At the same time, the Rosselkhoznadzor noted the irrationality of the logistics of their movement. Instead of entering directly from Turkey to the port of Novorossiysk, the apples went first to Latvia, then to Belarus and Russia.
"This led the Rosselkhoznadzor to doubt the legality of such deliveries and mistrust in the data specified in the Belarusian re-export certificates," the service said.
