There are also reports of people being evacuated from settlements near the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, including Enerhodar.

Dmytro Orlov, the mayor of Enerhodar, who lives in Ukrainian-controlled territory, said there was currently no evidence that the evacuations were being forced.

Meanwhile, the International Atomic Energy Agency of the United Nations (UN) has expressed concern about the safety of the Zaporizhia station. The general director of the organization, Rafael Grossi, said that the evacuation of residents indicates the possibility of fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces at the nuclear power plant.
