At least six people have died y 14 have been injured by Russian missiles fallen in a postal depot in the Kharkiv regionin northeastern Ukraine, local officials indicated.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video on social media of what appears to be a severely damaged warehouse next to numerous debris and a container with the logo of the Ukrainian postal operator Nova Pochta. The attack happened late Saturday.
“The six people killed and the 14 injured by the attack by the occupiers were company employees which is located inside the Nova Pochta terminal,” said the governor of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Sinegubov.
“The victims, aged 19 to 42, were injured by shrapnel and the explosion,” he added. The 14 injured were hospitalized, half of them in serious condition, Sinegubov said.
According to the regional prosecutor’s office, Russian forces stationed in the Belgorod region, bordering Ukraine, fired S-300 missiles and two of them hit the depot.
