Rzeszów, Subcarpathia. Vaccinations against COVID-19 without registration. Stanisław Mazur, president of the MEDYK Medical Center, explains

The calculations that we report to the National Health Fund are collective calculations from the entire region where we vaccinate – said Stanisław Mazur, physician, president of the MEDYK Medical Center in Rzeszów. He referred to the data on the high number of vaccinated by his facility and the possibility of taking the preparation by unregistered persons for two days.

The government’s report on vaccination against COVID-19 shows that in Rzeszów, a city with approximately 190,000 inhabitants, the number of vaccinations has so far exceeded 119,000, with 33,000 people already taking two doses of the vaccine. Last Saturday and Sunday in MEDYK Medical Center in Rzeszów – with many vaccination points in Podkarpacie – the preparation could be taken by people without registration. As the president of the center, doctor Stanisław Mazur, explained on TVN24, the decision was due to the fear of wasting thawed doses.

There have been accusations from some politicians that the action may be related to the upcoming May elections for the president of Rzeszów. The head of the Prime Minister’s office, Michał Dworczyk, at a press conference he called such voices “political innuendo.”

Stanisław Mazur also referred to the issue of vaccination in Rzeszów in the afternoon program “Tak jest” on TVN24.

He added that his facility is vaccinating “over 100 places.” – These are both stationary places, the entire periphery, the outskirts of Podkarpacie, up to the Slovak and Ukrainian borders, as well as exit places, by ambulances to their homes. And we settle all this in Rzeszów – he explained. In his opinion, “Rzeszów de facto has the same vaccinations as other Polish cities, on the order of 30 percent”. – I could not specify it precisely on Easter, because the situation surprised us. Today I mobilized myself to count and it is so – assured Mazur.

According to him, “these are manipulations with the calculation of how many people” got vaccinated in Rzeszów. – This is the count of all vaccinations we do in the voivodeship – he repeated.
