Saint-Pie-de-Guire: a 19-year-old driver succumbs to his injuries

A 19-year-old young man died early Saturday morning after leaving the road in Saint-Pie-de-Guire, in the Center-du-Québec region.

The swerve took place at around 3:00 a.m., when, due to the high speed of his vehicle, the driver deviated from his lane on Highway 143 and then rolled several times.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirmed his death a few hours later.

A passenger in the same vehicle, whose age is still unknown to the SQ, was injured, but his life is not believed to be in danger.

Route 143 was closed in the morning to allow SQ investigators to do their work.
