About a week after smartphone manufacturer Samsung comes on the market with the Galaxy A54, a new smartphone appears. The Galaxy M54 has a bigger screen, huge battery and a camera with more megapixels.

Samsung Galaxy M54 quietly appears in the store
The Galaxy M54 appeared this week without an announcement in the Middle East and Samsung placed it on its own Arabic online web store. The smartphone is the big brother of the Galaxy A54 that appeared earlier this month. The screen of the M54 has a size of 6.7 inches. This is an amoled panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, which shows clear images and smooth animations.
The device is powered by an Exynos 1380 chip. The smartphone thus supports 5G connectivity and a sharp camera sensor. There is 8GB of RAM on board with 128 or 256GB of storage space. The battery is also not bad because of the larger housing. It has a capacity of 6000 mAh, which should be more than enough to get through the day. This charges with a maximum of 25 watts via a cable.
Design and camera
The Samsung Galaxy M54 has the same design as other new Samsung smartphones. The cameras are neatly placed individually in the back, but the housing is – except for the screen – made of plastic. To take photos and videos, there are three cameras on the back of the M54. A main camera with a resolution of 108 megapixels, a wide-angle lens with 8 megapixels and a macro camera with 2 megapixels.
The smartphone runs on Android 13 and has Samsung’s One UI 5.1 shell. This changes the design to Samsung’s style and you can get started with all kinds of extra functions. With the recently released Galaxy A54 and A34, Samsung offers four major Android updates and five years of security updates. We expect this to also apply to the M54.
Price and availability
Unfortunately, Samsung’s Arabic webshop does not show how much the smartphone costs. Its predecessor – the Galaxy M53 – was available in the Netherlands for 449 euros through third parties. It is not known whether Samsung will also officially market the Galaxy M54 to the Netherlands. There is a good chance that other parties will bring the smartphone to the Netherlands via gray import.
