Samsung notes the growing demand for leasing smartphones in Russia

MOSCOW, 9 November – RIA news. Samsung Electronics notes an increase in demand for the smart phone leasing program in Russia, more than half of the phones in participating stores have been purchased in the scope of this program, said the South Korean producer at RIA Novosti.

Smartphone leasing was launched for the first time in Russia on 1 October. This service has been offered to customers by Samsung. Under the terms of the program, the lease so far only applies to Samsung's flagship smartphones (Galaxy S9 and S9 +, Note9) in the branded salons of the company in five regions of the Russian Federation.

The cost of the lease is from 3.79 thousand rubles per month. Fully paying for the smartphone, you can buy it in the property. After making 12 payments or after 6 payments with a surcharge of 3.9 thousand rubles, the program participant can change a smartphone to a newer model for free if there is no damage. In this case, the customer will have to pay 3.9 thousand rubles for rent refusal.

According to a Samsung representative, more than half of the flagship smartphones in the stores participating in the program were leased in October. The most popular smartphone in the first month of the program became Galaxy Note9 – it represented 70% of all sales. At the same time, 55% of all sales in the program fell on Galaxy Note9 with 128 GB of memory.
