However, when entering March, there was no medicine “and they bring us back and forth, with the risks that it means for us to enter a place like this where we can contract coronavirus and which would affect us, since we are a risk group for this disease ”, he explained.
It is about 350 patients with multiple sclerosis in the entire state who have not received their medicine, one of them is Interferon, which serves their immune system so that it does not destroy myelin and with it, be able to continue with his life.
So far, none of the patients with multiple sclerosis have suffered from coronavirus, but going every third day to ask if their medicine has arrived makes them vulnerable, since there are already 109 cases of community infection in the state.
José Alfredo Nava explained that if they do not receive their medication, they will begin to lose sensitivity and movement in their legs and arms and where the greatest risk would be that their body could become paralyzed.
