Second anticovid doses announced for adolescents from 12 to 14 years of Mérida

MÉRIDA.— From Monday, August 8 to Saturday, August 13, a new phase of the vaccination against Covid-19 in Yucatan, with the application of second doses for adolescents from 12 to 14 and third dose for young people from 15 to 17 years of Mérida.

This stage will take place in Vaccination module of the Villa Palmira Sports Unit and in the macrocenter of the Yucatan Siglo XXI Convention Centerfor both sectors, so it will have the support of the Armed Forces and the Mérida City Council.

Regarding the programming of the operation, it was reported that for both age groups it will be developed as follows:

  • On Monday the 8th, those born in January and February will be able to receive the dose.
  • On Tuesday 9, those of March and April.
  • On Wednesday 10, those of May and June.
  • On Thursday 11, those of July and August.
  • On Friday 12, those of September and October.
  • Finally, Saturday the 13th will correspond to those born in November and December.

To receive the doses it is necessary that the adolescents 12 to 14 years old present proof of the first vaccination and for those between 15 and 17 years of age, the registration form will be requested on the federal government platform, which can be obtained on the website

The Yucatan Ministry of Health reiterated that those over 18 years of age who have not received any vaccine or require completing their vaccination schedule, can go to the permanent modules located in Mérida and in the interior of the state, with Monday service hours. to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

⇒ In the case of Mérida, the units are located in the Urban Health Center of the Santa Rosa neighborhood of the SSY and the Family Medicine Units number 59 of the IMSS and the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (Issste ) in the Lindavista neighborhood.

⇒ In the interior of the state, the modules are located in the Tekax General Hospital and the Ticul Health Center; in Valladolid, in the Jurisdictional Warehouse of Vaccinology; in Izamal, at the Rural Hospital; in Motul, in the General Hospital of Subzone number 3, and in Tizimín, in the Health Center.
