The Braga delegation of the Portuguese Bar Association appealed to its members to participate in a solidarity campaign with Hospital de Braga, entitled Social responsibility – together we will make a difference, raising revenue to support the supply of equipment to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Order says that the “N-Advogados” office, by Nuno Albuquerque, will be responsible for collecting the amounts, checking the availability of the materials listed by the Hospital with suppliers, and for purchasing and delivering the equipment.
The initiative under consideration, approved by the Communication and Sustainability Department of Hospital de Braga and authorized by the local City Council, under the terms of Decree-Law no. 87/99, of 19 March, is governed by the following parameters: the campaign intended to raise revenue to support the provisioning, purchase and distribution of hospital equipment, essential for combating Covid-19, at Hospital de Braga;
“N-Advogados” will be the entity responsible for collecting the amounts, verifying the availability and values of the materials listed by the Braga Hospital itself with suppliers, for the purchase of the material and later delivery to the Braga Hospital, with all due diligence carried out in conjunction with the Braga Delegation of the Bar Association;
The campaign has as its scope the lawyers registered in the Municipality. But any citizen can contribute.

The obligations arising from article 3 of Decree-Law no. 87/99, of 19 March will be complied with, namely the rendering of accounts and inspection by the competent entities;
At the end of the campaign, the Order’s Delegation will be given an indication of all the contributions collected, as well as the delivery of the materials thus obtained to the Hospital, in order to ensure full transparency in this solidarity action.
