The entire selection and technical staff of PSV Women have been quarantined, after several players and staff members of the Eindhoven team tested positive for the corona virus.
It is not known which players and staff members are involved and until when the selection must remain in quarantine. PSV reports Saturday only that the corona cases have surfaced due to the preventive tests that are conducted periodically.
It goes without saying that the friendly match of PSV Women against sc Heerenveen will not take place on Sunday. That game would start at 12.15 at De Herdgang, the training complex of PSV.
The new season in the Eredivisie Women will start in two weeks. Because the quarantine time is usually ten days, the first round of play is normally not at risk for PSV.
The team of trainer Sander Luiten starts the competition on Sunday, September 6 with a home game against VV Alkmaar. At PSV, goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal and former Orange captain Mandy van den Berg are among others under contract.
