Shortages in the United Kingdom: Brexit worsens the effects of the pandemic

Lhe UK is facing one of its worst scarcity crises. According to the CBI, the Confederation of British Industries, inventory levels relative to expected sales reached a record negative level in the retail trade (- 21% compared to – 17% last month) and in the distribution sector ( – 22% against – 21%). Across the board, this is the fifth consecutive month in which a negative record has been set since July 1983.
