Snapchat debuted poll function created from emojis

Snapchat presented new functions for chat, among which the premiere of a section of Surveys created by users from emojis with which they can ask their followers for opinions stands out.

As indicated by the messaging platform in a statement sent to Europa Press, it is a function that was developed prioritizing the visual approach to create these surveys. In this way, instead of text, different emojis were introduced to indicate the available options.

To create a poll in snaps or stories, you must go to the Stickers folder, available in the application for both Android and iOS. These are not anonymous, so creators will receive nominal notification of everyone who participates and responds.

In addition to polls, Snapchat included with its latest update a feature to reply to individual messages in group chats. In them, the option Reply to a chat was enabled, through which a parallel conversation thread can be started.

To use this novelty, it is only necessary to keep your finger pressed on the message sent by another contact in that group and respond individually to start the conversation once the thread has been enabled.

On the other hand, reactions with Bitmoji were introduced, which allow users to respond to a message without the need to write, that is, only with an icon that represents their mood. You can choose from seven responses: a heart, a crying face, surprised, sad, excited, approving, or a thumbs down.

The latest addition to the Snapchat update introduces improvements to video and audio calls, and offers the option to add lenses or preview who joined a group call before joining it.
