At the international SAP Sapphire conference held in Orlando (USA), business software manufacturer SAP presented a new cooperation agreement with Microsoft and artificial intelligence (AI) innovations that will help the company’s customers overcome today’s most pressing business management and sustainability challenges.
“In today’s world, businesses face new regulations, unexpected disruptions, and lack of new skills every day. When urgent solutions are needed, customers turn to SAP. The innovations we are now presenting at the SAP Sapphire conference are built on our years of experience in creating innovative business management solutions, industry and process knowledge. We aim to enable our customers to improve – both today and in the future,” says Christian Klein, CEO of SAP.
On May 15, SAP announced a new cooperation agreement with long-term partner Microsoft to integrate the latest generative artificial intelligence innovations into SAP business management solutions. New artificial intelligence functions open up new opportunities for business: they help corporate teams to easily predict and manage changes, ensure better visibility and productivity of business processes.
From now on, SAP artificial intelligence for business can be used throughout the organization, both for creating a personalized customer network and for improving procurement processes, developing talent or managing complex factors of the external world.
SAP and Microsoft will collaborate to integrate Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot in Viva Learning solutions into SAP SuccessFactors, as well as Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service, giving users access to powerful language patterns and will facilitate the functions of finding employees, personnel management and training of organizations.
New opportunities for sustainable business
Fifty years ago, the SAP Business Management System revolutionized business financial accounting. New SAP solutions will from now on make the work of business finance departments even easier by introducing tools for tracking and accounting for CO2 emissions.
Today, when laws and regulations are constantly changing and business is increasingly demanding sustainability, it is becoming extremely important for companies to have pollution emission accounting systems that are transparent and reliable, just like their financial data accounting.
SAP announces that it has updated the SAP Sustainability Footprint Management solution, which helps to calculate and manage all pollution emissions of a company, production chain or product production. In addition, SAP offers a new solution for business – the SAP Sustainability Data Exchange Program, which is designed for companies to securely exchange standardized sustainability data with their partners or suppliers and thus aim to reduce CO2 emissions in the supply chain.
Artificial intelligence solutions will become available to various businesses and industries
The new features and capabilities of SAP artificial intelligence are already available today and implemented in the business resource management application SAP S/4HANA. This cloud computing application helps corporate finance departments predict the risks of late invoice payments and control costs, quickly set priorities in response to customer needs. SAP Business artificial intelligence will facilitate the work of employees of companies’ sales departments.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud is slated to add a new automated sales and order fulfillment feature this year, meaning salespeople will no longer need to enter orders manually, allowing them to spend more time with their customers.
Generative AI will also be used in SAP’s transportation management solutions. The innovations being implemented will help car manufacturing companies to fulfill orders faster and more accurately, automate the processes of receiving and checking goods, and also increase profitability. As announced by SAP, the new functions will be available to users in 2023. IV quarter.
