Quoted from Kompas.comA solar eclipse occurs when the earth, moon, and sun are in parallel lines. Then, the shadow of the moon fell on the earth and covered the sun.
It is called a total eclipse if the moon’s shadow covers the sun completely.
However, if the moon’s shadow is only able to partially cover the sun, this phenomenon is called partial solar eclipse.
Reported from Space (23/4/2022), the first solar eclipse this year is a partial solar eclipse.
