Fans of Joel and Ellie can hardly wait: In 2013, Sony released “The Last of Us” on Playstation 3, a survival horror game that delighted the press and gamers worldwide. In 2014 the remastered version for the PS4 was released. The release of Part 2 as one of the last big games of the PS4 era was actually announced for this spring. But then Corona came and Sony postponed the game indefinitely. Disappointment spread in many forums – after all, the PS5 is expected by the end of the year.
“The Last of Us Part 2”: Fans can expect atmospheric titles
But now it is time to breathe a sigh of relief: As Sony confirmed on the Playstation blog, “The Last of Us Part 2” is already in the starting blocks. The game will be available on June 19. Fans could already get an idea of the title in the first trailers. The player takes on the role of Ellie, who is now 19 years old and is on a vengeance campaign through America, which is marked by a pandemic. Foster father Joel from part 1 also occurs in the game. In what role, however, is still unclear. Fans can look forward to an atmospheric title – at least the trailers are close at hand. Already part 1 impressed on the PS3 with a dense atmosphere, well drawn characters and an emotional story.

“Ghost of Tsushima”: Game fully exploits PS4 hardware
Sony also confirmed the release date of another exclusive game: “Ghost of Tsushima” will be released for Playstation 4 on July 17. The open-world game throws players into Japan in 1274. The main character is Sumarai Jin Sakai, who is fighting against invaders from Mongolia on the island of Tsushima. Visually, the title on the PS4 Pro makes a lot and should squeeze the last power reserves from the now old hardware.
Both games are aimed at adults and may only be sold to customers aged 18 and over.
