The pick ups have more and more customers and in this program of TN Records we got on two very special ones. One, compact, and the other, huge! We are talking about the new Fiat Toro and the impressive Toyota Tundra, the Japanese “giant” that conquered the American user.
In the case of the Toro, we went up to the top-of-the-range version called Ultra, which has the particularity of offer “trunk”, thanks to a rigid cover.
This variant, which costs 5.13 million pesos, mechanically carries the 170 hp 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine, with a nine-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction (all diesel engines have four-wheel drive).
The Toro Ultra has a differentiated front grill with darkened and larger logo, leather upholstery with version lettering, Mopar cargo bag, 18-inch Ultra wheels, black mirrors, rigid box lid, fenders and blacked-out details on the outside and inside.
The pick up was also renewed inside. From now on it offers 26 liters of capacity in spaces stowage interiors, twice the model it replaces.
The steering wheel incorporates the new fiat logo that have already released other models, such as Strada, Argo and Cronos. It also changes the position of the button for activating the flashing lights (beacons), the descent control and the traction control. And the board is reformed.
As for general changes in the model range, the Toro also featured the new 175-horsepower 1.3-liter turbo engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. With this mechanical set, the new Toro accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 10.1 seconds.
The model arrives imported from Brazil and competes directly against the Renault Duster Oroch, although in practice many also consider it as an option against the midsize ones.
In addition, we got on the Toyota Tundra, a heavyweight in the world range of the Japanese brand. This large pickup is not sold in Argentina at the moment, but it is in the United States, where it found a public that values it and chooses it over the other “full size” alternatives.
