So far, there is data that the earthquake from Greece was felt in the area of the city of Kardzhali, reported seismologists from the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (NIGGG-BAS), referring to data from the National Seismological Center at the NIGGG-BAS, reported BTA.
The earthquake is 456 kilometers from Sofia.
This morning’s earthquake is near the area where several earthquakes of magnitude 4.8 and 4.9 were recorded on January 7, the seismologists from NIGGG-BAN remind.
They specify that the parameters of the earthquake were obtained by automatic analysis of currently available data. With the arrival of new data, a change in the coordinates and magnitude of the earthquake is possible, seismologists explain.
