Supreme Court ruled in favor of Trump on plan to exclude undocumented migrants from the US census

The Supreme Court of the United States on Friday dismissed a lawsuit seeking to block President Donald Trump’s plan to exclude immigrants living illegally in the country from the population count used to assign legislative districts to each state.

Judgment 6-3 gives Trump a victory as he seeks to implement his hardline anti-immigration policies in the final days of his presidency.

The Trump administration is fighting the clock to detail a vaguely defined proposal before the president-elect Joe Biden take power on January 20.

The judges left open the possibility that his opponents would file a new lawsuit if the Trump administration completes its plan.
