RIYADH: The Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul) announced the suspension of the shares of the Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Company (GIC) during the Thursday session (November 8) at the request of the company.
According to a statement on Tadawul on Thursday, the suspension of trading on the company's shares came in preparation for the announcement of a significant event.
Tadawul said the title will be re-negotiated from the eleventh session on Sunday.
The stock rose 1.02% to 13.84 riyals during Thursday's session, before stopping trading.
The stock closed Wednesday's session up 3%, to 13.74 riyals.
