Tear drama at Dancing Stars

Dancing Stars shock at the semi-final show: The dancing couple Florian Gschaider and Lilian Klebow did not compete.

In the Dancing Stars show on Friday, there was a bang right after the start of the program: “Unfortunately, I hurt myself,” explained dance professional Gschaider. He tore a muscle during rehearsals. The injury does not allow him to continue dancing. He will be out for four to six weeks.

Visibly emotional. Gschaider himself found it difficult to announce this news on the show – he fought back tears. Saying goodbye to the show is difficult for him. There were considerations as to whether Lilian Klebow would get a wild card for the final and compete there with another dance professional, explains moderator Mirjam Weichselbraun. The dance professionals could do that, but the actress decided against it. Klebow: “I decided against it because we started here as a team and are leaving here as a team. And because such a wonderful person and coach again Flo is simply irreplaceable.” Florian Gschaider hugs his dance partner Klebow with emotion.

The studio audience also had a few tears in their eyes at the sad news of the end of Gschaider and Klebow. The two got a standing ovation.

Grand Finale on May 12

The three finalist couples completed their dances without any pressure to perform, as a kind of rehearsal for the grand finale. Kamper and Campisi wanted to convince with a slow fox to “My Baby Just Cares For Me”, Pointner and Stöckl started with a quick step to “The One That I Want”, May and Stefanin danced a Viennese waltz to the Rihanna song “Love On The Brain”.

Grand Final. The jury received support from actress Katharina Straßer on Friday. She got a taste of ballroom air as a guest judge. On May 12th, the final show will take place with ex-racing driver Corinna Kamper (28), ex-ski jumper Alexander Pointner (52) and musical star Missy May (36).
