Design and screen

For this test, Huawei lent us the model with the silicone strap and the black stainless steel case. Remember that there is also another more expensive version of 50 euros, including a leather strap and a silver-colored case. Both opt for a round, rather classy and well-finished design, next to a traditional clock. Despite a fairly large mask with a diameter of 46.5 mm and a thickness of 10.6 mm, the case remains surprisingly light with a weight of only 46 g. This brings some comfort to everyday life, but removes from the object the perceived premium effect at first sight.

The dial is surrounded by a non-removable frame that displays the minutes. There are two large buttons on the right side of the case to turn around the clock menus. Especially when it is in the water and the touch function is not available! Just add that it has a seal up to 5 ATM that already allows you to swim, but do not expect to dive into the deep area.

In the back, there is the heart rate sensor that allows you to assess the rhythm in real time and throughout the day, regardless of whether you are in full activity, at rest or even immersed in sleep. Finally, the 22 mm bracelet is comfortable and easily replaceable. Ideal to change your style every day.

Diamond carbon protection covers the 1.39-inch Amoled screen. With a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels, it has a very comfortable density of 326 dpi. By choosing such a plate, the contrast and maximum brightness influence perfection. In addition, you can choose the desired brightness level or rely on an automatic adjustment based on your environment. If the screen still has an excellent readability with more flattering eye colors every day, the alarm is difficult: the minimum brightness is too high in the dark.

The screen turns on a cuff that is very comfortable. However, it is impossible to check the time permanently for this watch, which displays the complete black when not in use. Without seeing the entire quadrant, an always active function with the Oled box would not have been rejected. After all, it's a clock. This choice probably responds to the desire to extend battery life as much as possible.
