“Thank you for everything” .. FC Barcelona bid farewell to the Egyptian Ali Zain

Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – On Wednesday, the Spanish club Barcelona bid farewell to Ali Zain, the Egyptian handball star, after the end of his contract with the team, and his move to the Romanian ranks of Dinamo Bucharest.

Barcelona club said, in a statement published on its Twitter account, to Ali Zain: “Thank you very much for everything, Ali.” He added: “Ali Zain, the left-back, separated from Barcelona after a successful season, during which he achieved the Champions League, and he was the star Al-Masry arrived at the club in the summer of 2021, and is leaving now, having achieved all his goals with the club.”

He continued, “Ali Zain, under the technical leadership of coach Carlos Ortega, was distinguished by his defensive performance, which was a key key to winning 6 titles in his only year as a Barcelona player.”

The club concluded its statement by saying: “Barcelona wishes Ali Zain success in his future, both personally and professionally, after his time at the club.”

Zain joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021, and scored 60 goals in 30 matches with the team during the Spanish League competitions, and scored 12 goals in 17 matches in the European Champions League.

Ali Zain, 32, won with the Catalan club 6 titles: the Spanish League, the Spanish Super Cup, the King’s Cup, the Catalan Super Cup, the ASObal Cup, and the European Champions League.

Ali Zain moved to play with the Romanian club Dinamo Bucharest for two seasons until 2024, along with the Egyptian duo Ahmed Khairy and Mamdouh Khairy, who play in the team.

It is noteworthy that Zain joined the ranks of the Egyptian national team, on Tuesday, to participate in the Mediterranean Games, currently being held in Algeria.
