MG Motor surprised last year with the launch of the MG GT, a fastback sedan that won various awards by popular vote, such as “Debut of the Year” and “Car of the Year.” With the arrival of the MG ONE, the brand hopes to impact the market again, this time with a new SUV that arrives for the first time in the region.
According to Hernán Delfino, Sales Deputy Director of SAIC, manufacturer and representative of MG Motor in Chile, “MG ONE comes to strengthen the mix of the brand in the market. This is an SUV that we hope will be well received by people with a young attitude, and who are looking for a large car with a sporty style, without neglecting safety and technology.” But what makes the MG ONE different from other SUVs? Design
MG ONE stands out for its sportier appearance, with an aggressive grille, 3-bar LED front lights, a two-tone roof and 19” alloy wheels. In addition, it sports a Twin-Aero Spoiler and marked horizontal lines that have characterized the brand in these 99 years of history, which adds a more sporty design and driving sensation. Among the 6 colors that will be available on the market, orange will be the color that will characterize the MG ONE.
Security
MG ONE incorporates the brand’s flagship security system, MG Pilot, which this time will include 4 assists, front and side airbags, 360° camera and parking sensor. In addition, it is equipped with 8-in-1 Electronic Stability Control (ESP), which includes anti-lock braking system (ABS), anti-roll program (ARP), cornering braking control (CBC), electronic braking assistance (EBA), among many more.
Technology
The MG ONE stands out inside with a 30-inch 3-in-one screen, which allows you to control the different systems on board. This SUV has a Panoramic Sunroof, in addition to a great design and interior space, comfort and technology; aspects that combined are the perfect equation that make it a sportier design and a futuristic travel experience.
engine and power
This new MG model will arrive in Chile with a seven-speed 1.5T CVT engine and a power of 167 Hp and 275 Nm of torque, which allows the car to reach 100 kilometers per hour in just 8.8 seconds.
SIGMA architecture
This will be the first model in Chile to integrate MG Motor’s new SIGMA architecture, and will carry with it the brand’s renewed design language. This self-developed platform has been designed to optimize the interior space, making it more in line with ergonomics. It also offers a new generation of engines with higher response speed and more hybrid driving methods.
The new MG Motor SUV C will begin its commercialization in Chile from June of this year, being the first country in the region to receive the MG ONE.
