The actors shot a video in support of the defendants in the "Moscow affair"
On the Web a video appeared in which Russian actors tell the stories of 11 people involved in the "Moscow affair". A clip called "Direct Speech" posted on the Youtube channel "Freedom for all".
"We hope these stories remind people of how important it is to stay partial so that tomorrow is not in place of those who really need our help today," says the caption of the video. After each story, information about the article appears on the screen, under which the defendant was convicted and the term. It is noted that during the compilation of the stories materials from judicial hearings and interviews of the accused were used.
Theater and film actors Alexander Pal, Alexander Ilyin Jr, Evgeny Tsyganov, Arthur Smolyaninov, Nikita Kukushkin, Alexander Yatsenko, Grigory Dobrygin, Pavel Derevyanko, Alexander Gorchilin, Yuri Borisov and video blogger and cabaret artist Danila Pererechny made a video.
Earlier, Russian actors and directors spoke in support of fellow Pavel Ustinov, who was sentenced to three and a half years in prison on charges of using violence against riot police during detention. The plaintiff denied his guilt and insisted that he had not participated in the protest.
On September 29, a coordinated action was held in Moscow to support the defendants in the "Moscow affair", which was attended by about 20 thousand people. In support of the convicted actor Pavel Ustinov, his seminar colleagues organized a flash mob on social networks and pickets outside the presidential administration building. The next day, the metropolitan court examined the Ustinov case and commuted the sentence by appointing the person involved in the "Moscow case" a year of imprisonment with a two-year probationary period. Satyricon Theater designer Konstantin Raikin criticized the new verdict, noting that Ustinov was completely innocent.
