The architect Javier Cristiani, son of the former president Alfredo Cristiani, died in a car accident in San Juan Opico

The professional did his morning exercises on a bicycle when he was hit by a dredge at the 35th kilometer highway between San Juan Opico and Quezaltepeque, La Libertad.

The police sub-inspector, Ramírez Herrera, reported that the accident occurred around 8:30 am.

The police chief indicated that the Christian architect fell into the street after losing his balance and was attacked.

The driver of the harrow stopped about 200 meters after the accident site and remains under investigation.

Cristiani studied at the School of Architecture at Tulane University, New Orleans, and later earned a postgraduate degree in the Department of Industrial Design at the Parsons School of Design in New York, where he specialized in Industrial Design focused on Furniture.

Thanks to his skills and his creativity, his furniture projects have been internationally recognized, being awarded at the ICFF Contemporary Furniture World Fair (for his acronym in English).
