The health authorities of the United States issued an alert to the population and health personnel on Monday after finding four cases of malaria by local transmission in Texas and Florida.

Specifically, the government agency explained, they have confirmed four cases in Florida and one in Texas in the last two months and there is no evidence to suggest a connection between them.
Officials said the areas in Florida and Texas where infections have been reported are under “surveillance” and that all patients “have received treatment and are improving.”
