From $ 1,000,000 to $ 4,000,000 The Central Bank raised the maximum amount of the fixed terms in pesos
The Central Bank has raised the maximum amount from $ 1,000,000 to $ 4,000,000 of the fixed terms in pesos that will have an interest rate of at least the equivalent of 70% of the monetary policy rate, reported Thursday.
Currently, that annual nominal guaranteed rate is 26.6% and the effective annual rate is 30.1%.
The modification released this Thursday was carried out through Communication “A” 7000.
“In the case of impositions in pesos not adjustable by UVA or UVI less than or equal to $ 4,000,000 in the name of holders who are human persons, the annual nominal rate may not be less than that which the Central Bank will issue every Friday”, the monetary authority pointed out.
The decision comes amid strong pressure to dollarize portfolios that drove free exchange rates to peak values in the past week.
