The Czechs reach for the title. Martincová is in the finals again, now next to Vondroušová

Tereza Martincová and Markéta Vondroušová are in the doubles final at the Adelaide tennis tournament. Frenchwoman Elixane Lechemia and American Ingrid Neel were beaten twice twice 6: 1. Their final opponents will be the third seeded Japanese Eri Hozumi and Makoto Ninomiya.

Both Czech tennis players were eliminated in Adelaide in singles in the second round, but in the doubles competition they reach for their premiere title.

Martincová will strive for the very first triumph on the WTA circuit. Last week, the 27-year-old native of Prague played the doubles final in Melbourne for the first time, in which she lost to Kateřina Siniaková and the American Bernard Peraová with the Egyptian Majar Šarífová.

Vondroušová, who is five years younger, is also attacking her first doubles title. The silver Olympic medalist from Tokyo and finalist Roland Garros 2019 has so far won one single triumph on the WTA Tour in 2017 in Biel.
