Former Spartak Moscow doctor Liu Hongshen commented on the resumption of the season in the Tinkoff Russian Premier League (RPL), which is scheduled for June 21. His words cite Izvestia.
Hongshen explained the concern that the situation with coronavirus in Russia remains dangerous. In his opinion, it is too early to talk about the resumption of the season in the league. The doctor noted that during the training the players will need to be in close contact, and predicted that the illness of even one player would seriously affect the whole team.
“It seems to me that the most important thing in this situation is health. Any mistake can lead to a big tragedy, ”he stressed.
On May 19, it was reported that the Moscow football club Dynamo conducted mass testing of players, coaches and team staff for coronavirus. Two people have borderline values of the test indicators, two more have antibodies to the virus.
Earlier, coronavirus was detected in two RPL players. Positive tests passed the forward “Locomotive” Jefferson Farfan and the defender “Rubin” Konstantin Pliev.
