He Minister council approved this Monday to declare an area seriously affected by a civil protection emergency 28 counties damaged by the DANA of this month of September. This includes municipalities in Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands, the Community of Madrid and the Region of Murcia.
The DANA that took place on the first weekend of September caused persistent rainfall that caused the death of eight people and numerous incidents such as floods, landslides, power outages and traffic problems, as well as damage to public and private infrastructure.
The declaration of catastrophic zone It will allow those affected by this phenomenon to request direct aid that the Government grants on a subsidiary basis.
Among the agreed measures are aid of up to 18,000 for death or permanent disability; aid for destruction or damage to essential items of up to 2,580 euros; for total destruction of the habitual residence for a maximum of 15,120 euros or for damage to it with a maximum amount of 5,160 uros. In addition, the Council of Ministers has also agreed to aid for the communities of owners: they will cover 50% of the damages with a maximum of 9,224 euros.
Other aid contemplated is intended for organizations and companies: up to 9,224 euros to the owners of industrial, commercial and service establishments; and between 50% and 100% of the expenses to local corporations for expenses derived from actions that cannot be postponed.
