The Government will declare the municipalities that suffered the last DANA a seriously affected area

The spokesperson for the acting Government, Isabel Rodríguez, announced this Saturday that next Minister council will approve the declaration of areas seriously affected by a civil protection emergency for all areas that suffered the effects of the last DANA.

Specifically, the Government contemplates this declaration for the territories affected by Andalusia, Aragon, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Valencian Community, Balearic Islands, Community of Madrid y Murcia Region.

Rodríguez has highlighted the “agility and effectiveness” of the Government for this procedure and has assured that this new agreement “will already be on the table next Monday” to give the green light “to that aid that was demanded by the autonomous communities and of the town councils”.

The Government spokesperson, who participated this Saturday in the XIII plenary session of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinceshas highlighted that this process has been carried out by “reducing by a third” the time that the Government normally takes to resolve them, “as a result of what has been suffered in these four years”, in reference to the pandemic.

Likewise, he stressed that the Executive has multiplied the provision of public funds for collaboration with the autonomous communities and city councils.
