The infection is increasing again in Denmark

The R-number has now risen to 1.1, an overview from the health authorities showed on Tuesday. This means that an average of ten infected people pass on to eleven others. Last week, the R number was 0.7, which indicated declining infection rates.

– The most important thing is that the hospitalization numbers are low and that more and more people are being revaccinated, writes Minister of Health Magnus Heunicke on Twitter.

In the last 24 hours, 457 cases of infection were registered in Denmark, the highest number of days in 18 days, figures from the Statens Serum Institut (SS) showed on Tuesday. The health authorities also registered six new deaths in the last 24 hours. The number of corona patients in hospitals in the same period fell to 93, two fewer than the day before.
