The Disciplinary Committee of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF DK) examined the case regarding the unsportsmanlike behavior of the player Ben Spietinis outside the match on April 3.
The LFF Disciplinary Committee concluded that the actions of Ben Spietinis are to be evaluated in accordance with Article 36 of the LFF Disciplinary Code. Violation of paragraph 5 of “Unsportsmanlike conduct” and the applicable sanction is provided for in paragraph 6 of this article.
Taking into account the nature of the committed violation, the degree of guilt, mitigating and aggravating circumstances, as well as the participant’s cooperation in identifying and investigating the violation, the sanction specified in Article 16 of the LFF Disciplinary Code shall be applied. “Prohibition from participating in certain or any football-related activities.”
The LFF Disciplinary Committee decided to ban Ben Spietinis for 12 (twelve) months from participating in any football-related activity (administrative, sporting, technical or any other).
The decision entered into force from m. May 2nd. The player did not exercise his right to appeal this decision.
