The Madrid Provincial Prosecutor’s Office has forwarded to the National Court Prosecutor’s Office a complaint filed against the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubialesfor the kiss to the Spanish team player Jenni Hermoso at the World Cup trophy ceremony, given that he understands that the matter, as it occurs outside Spanish territory, is within his competence.
In a letter, the prosecutor Ana Maria Galdeanoby delegation of the provincial chief prosecutor, indicates that the complaint filed by the president of the National School of Soccer Coaches in Spain (Cenafe), Miguel Angel Galanwas received on August 23 and that in it “reports facts that could, where appropriate, constitute a crime of sexual assault.”
He points out that, since he has verified that territorial jurisdiction corresponds to the Prosecutor’s Office of the National Court, he proceeds to send the government file to his colleagues in the National Court “for the appropriate purposes.”
Now it will be the Prosecutor’s Office of the National Court who has to assess whether the complaint, which has been filed by a person who is not directly affected by the reported event, can be admitted for processing.
It should be remembered that to date there are four complaints on the table of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) that ask that Rubiales be investigated, who accumulates open fronts in the Higher Sports Council and the public reproach of various political formations, as well as Hermoso herself, who on the night of the Wednesday he issued a statement through his FUTPRO union in which he called for “exemplary measures” for the president of the RFEF.
