A man was stabbed during a late-night attack in Poplar, in the east of London. The paramedics were called to the scene but the suspect had already escaped.
A Met police spokesman said: "The police were called at about 22.20 on Thursday 18 October to report a stabbing in Zetland Street, E14.
"The agents found a man, believed to be 60 years old, suffering from stab wounds, and was taken to a hospital in London for treatment – the condition is awaiting.
"A crime scene remains in place, no arrest has been made and investigations continue."
