Fans know that beer is expensive in NFL stadiums, but not that expensive. A salesman at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami was arrested on Sunday after blaming a $ 724 fan for two beers during the Dolphins-Chargers game.
Nathaniel Collier faces two charges of crime for his alleged scam, according to court documents.
According to the Miami Herald, the police reported that the 33-year-old peddler took a customer credit card to charge the person two beers, which can earn you $ 20 at the stadium. Collier, however, used a personal card reader and charged $ 724.
Southern crime flattened when the client received a notice from the bank that included not only the excessive charge, but also the name of Collier.
Collier was arrested and was fired by Rocket Man, an independent contractor who works at the stadium. Reportedly, the fan has received a full refund.
Collier is accused of third-degree theft and possession of a skimming device. He was detained on a $ 10,000 bond.
