The Ministry of Defense announced the closure of roads in Moscow due to the preparation for May 9th
A number of streets in central Moscow will be closed on April 29 and May 4 due to preparations for May 9 Victory Parade on Red Square. It is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
According to the ministry, the calculations of the parade of the feet and a mechanized column will take part in the night training. In particular, these days from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm, traffic will be completely blocked on the streets of Nizhny Mnevniki, Mnevniki, Krasnaya Presnya, Barrikadnaya, Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya, Tverskaya, Zvenigorodskoye Highway and Triumfalnaya Square.
Also, from 10.30pm until the end of the event, access to the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge and Borovitskaya Square will be limited. Completely block roads Vozdvizhenka, Novy Arbat, Barrikadnaya, Krasnaya Presnya, Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya, Bolshaya Sadovaya, 1st and 2nd Brest, Novinsky Boulevard, Triumfalnaya Square, Zvenigorodskoe Highway, Mnevniki and Nizhny Mneshniki Streets.
As explained in the Ministry of Defense, the tests will be held at 22:00 Moscow time, since at this time the intensity of traffic in the center of Moscow is minimal. The final test of the Victory Parade on Red Square will be held on May 7 at 10:00 am Moscow time, notes the department.
