The NBA held the 2020 Draft and announced the schedule for the new season

On Wednesday the 2020 Draft was held, a night where 60 prospects reached their dream and earned a place on the NBA teams.

This was the first virtual draft in the history of the league, and the first also to take place in June, since 1975.

The current format of the rounds was implemented in 1989 and this year was the fourteenth in a row that Adam Silver announced NBA Draft picks, as commissioner or deputy commissioner.

Regarding the first selections, there were no big surprises and the favorite college prospects were the first to be selected.

Anthony Edwards, a former University of Georgia player, was crowned number one after the Minnesota Timberwolves chose him.

The second selection was from Golden State and opted for James Wiseman.

While the third was LaMello Ball, who now joins Charlotte’s squad.

There is already a calendar for the new season

The NBA also announced this week the structure Y the format for the 2020-21 season.

Among its novelties, it stands out that it will include a Play-In Tournament to determine the seventh and eighth seeded teams for the playoffs in each conference.

The 75th NBA season will start on Tuesday, December 22 and will have 72 regular season games for each team.
