The fifth generation of one of Jeep’s most popular SUVs will be officially unveiled this Wednesday.
Stellantis originally planned to introduce the new generation Jeep Grand Cherokee to the August New York Motor Show, but postponed it after its cancellation. However, it recently announced through a press release that it will officially present the car on Wednesday, September 29, at 3:00 pm Central European Time.
From the examples published so far, it is clear that the fifth generation Grand Cherokee will take over the design of the already introduced Grand Cherokee L. However, compared to the seven-seater model, it will offer a shorter wheelbase and a modified stern. In addition, the redesigned rear pillar in combination with the two-tone lacquer and chrome window decor could create a so-called floating roof design.
Both models will probably offer a very similar cab, including an instrument panel with a 10.3 “digital instrument panel and a 10.1” infotainment touch screen. The biggest difference will probably be only the number of seats.
Under the hood of the new Grand Cherokee, the same powertrains as the L version are very likely to appear. At least overseas, customers will be able to choose between a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar, a 5.7-liter V8 Hemi and a plug-in hybrid version for the first time. 4xe.
All engines will probably be combined with an automatic transmission, which will offer eight gears for at least pure combustion engines. Of course, there should also be an optional all-wheel drive, which may complement the optional Quadra-Lift adaptive air suspension system.
The Czech press release then adds that the new generation of Grand Cherokee will be “Undoubtedly the most technologically advanced, most luxurious and field-capable generation of this seriesSo let’s be surprised.
