Of the security issues with Infineon's TPM chips is still in the update history for Surface pro 3 nothing to read. Recently it became known that there is a security update for the Pro 3 series with Infineon's TPM chip, which can only be installed manually and at great expense. Correspondingly, it was great hope that Microsoft would solve the problem and provide the necessary update via Windows Update, but in the now published update there is nothing to read.
However, this does not mean that the now distributed system update does not resolve Infineon's vulnerability. Microsoft only leaves information to new updates in a very short and therefore not necessarily significant manner. We looked at the notes for updates and translated.
Surface Pro 3 owners running at least Windows 10 version 1703 will automatically receive updates.
The following updates are provided for Surface Pro 3 devices on Windows 10 Creators Update, version 1703 or later:
- Surface – System – 2.0.1360.0: Version 2.0.1630.0 improves system stability and corrects the error status of Device Manager
- Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Bluetooth – 15.68.9125.57: For the Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Wireless Bluetooth Adapter; Version 15.68.9125.57 improves system security
- Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.9125.57: For Marvell AVASTAR Wireless Network Controller – The network adapter version 15.68.9125.57 improves system security
In the Microsoft Download Center, the update was not found, it is still one last distributed in the September update offered.
