The organizer of the failed FIFA tournament for 37 million rubles received a position in the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation
Former head of the Directorate of Sports and Spectacular Events of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of Moscow Alexander Polinskywho was responsible for the FIFA tournament, was appointed director of the organization and organization of events in the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
Recall that for the Moscow e-sports tournament in FIFA 19, which took place on June 15, 2019 at the CSKA Arena, 37 million rubles were spent. Not only have the organizers lowered more than 30 million rubles to organize a one-day tournament, none of them have taken care of the proper advertising of the tournament. As a result, the championship was held in the empty stands. On the Twitch streaming platform, the average number of spectators of the tournament was 60-80 people. But for the sake of this broadcast, the organizers, judging by the data on the public procurement website, had to pay 1 million rubles.
Three days after the tournament ended and the situation was widely publicized, Alexander Polinsky, as the chief responsible for all this failure, vacated his post. The sports official was unemployed for 10 months. From April 15, 2020, he will distribute budgets for sporting events already on the scale of not one city, but the whole country.
