Jakarta – Kostrad clarified the news regarding the disappearance of the G30S PKI suppression diorama at the Kostrad Museum which was recently crowded following a statement from the former TNI Commander General (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo.

“It is not true that Kostrad had the idea to dismantle the statues of Pak Harto, Pak Sarwo Edhie, and Pak Nasution that were in Pak Harto’s office at the Dharma Bhakti Museum at the Kostrad Headquarters,” said the Head of Kostrad Headquarters, Colonel Inf Haryantana, in a written release received at Jakarta, Monday.

The release also stated that on Monday, August 30, 2021, the 34th Kostrad Commander Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Azmyn Yusri Nasution accompanied by Kaskostrad and Irkostrad held a friendly meeting with the Kostrad Commander with the aim of asking for the demolition of the statues.

“That the demolition of the statues was at the wish and idea of ​​Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Azmyn Yusri Nasution, because when he served as the Kostrad Commander for the period August 9, 2011 to March 13, 2012, he was the one who came up with the idea for the statues,” said the release. .

“Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Azmyn Yusri Nasution asked for the statues that he had made to be dismantled for the sake of inner and outer peace, so that the Kostrad side invited them.”
