Lilibet Diana, who was born in the United States on her first birthday, met in the United Kingdom, where she and her parents attended the platinum anniversary celebrations of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who live in the United States, brought both their children, Lilibet and her 3-year-old brother Archie, to the platinum anniversary celebrations of Elizabeth II in early June. This was Lilibet’s first visit to the UK and the first time she met 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth II.
In the UK, little Lilibet not only met her great-grandmother but also enjoyed her first birthday party! On the occasion of Lilibet’s cozy birthday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is said to have invited close friends and family to an informal, small picnic in the backyard of Fragmore Cottage.
A week after baby Lilibet’s birthday, a photo of a cake tasted by members of the royal family that day was released. It turns out that Lilibet’s birthday cake was baked by the same baker who created an impressive wedding cake for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle nearly four years ago. Interestingly, even the composition of these two cakes is the same!
Claire Ptak, the owner and baker of Violet Cakes in London, spoke about it, sharing a photo of a custom pink cake for Lilibet’s birthday on Friday.
“It was an Amalfi lemon and elderberry cake – the same one I made in 2018 for the wedding of the duke and duchess. But this time we covered it with a strawberry butter cream created especially for Lilibet, ”she wrote.

The next photo shows C.Ptak laying the final accents on the cake. The photo was captivated by the caption: “It was a great pleasure to make this special Lilibet birthday cake last week. I wish her a happy next year! ”
According to the Daily Mail, the Dukes of Sussex did not spare a large sum for the daughter’s birthday cake, which cost £ 244 (€ 285).
