The San Sebastian WIP Europa strand selects projects from Bulgaria, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine

05/08/2022 – Nadejda Koseva, Anatol Durbala, Selman Nacar and Tonia Noyabrova will present their second feature films, currently in production, in the industry section of the Basque festival

San Sebastián International Film Festival‘s industry platform for films with majority European production at the post-production stage, WIP Europa has selected titles from Bulgaria, Moldova, Turkey and Ukraine for its upcoming edition, set to take place during the festival, on 19, 20 and 21 September.

The films will vie for the WIP Europa Industry Award (given by the companies Best Digital, BTeam PicturesDeluxe, Dolby Iberia, Laserfilm Cinema and Video, Nephilim Productions and No problem Sonido, consisting of the post-production of one of the films selected until obtaining a DCP subtitled in English and Spanish and its distribution in Spain) and the WIP Europa Award (with 10,000 € for the majority producer of the film winning the WIP Europa Industry Award).

Finally, Do You Love Me?the new feature by Ukrainian filmmaker Tonia Noyabrova (Hero of My Time), is set in Kyiv in the last years of the Soviet Union and follows a teenager who discovers her parents’ secrets and rebels against them and their plans to divorce.
