Statista has updated the list with the mobile phones that emit the most and least radiation using data from the German Office for Radiation Protection.
According to data from the German entity, the Motorola Edge is the smartphone that emits the highest level of radiation during a call with the mobile next to the ear. The device registers a SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) value of 1.79 watts per kilogram.
The ZTE Axon 11 5G cell phone ranks second, with a radiation of 1.59 W/kg. Third place, according to the German office, is occupied by the One Plus 6T, with 1.55 W/kg.
The German entity considers that a device is low radiation if it has a SAR value of 0.6 watts per kilogram, although for the World Health Organization, that level is 2 W/Kg.
Currently, Statista notes that around 51% of smartphones that are marketed in the world have been classified as low-emission devices, according to the German scale.
It should be noted that, according to United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the weight of scientific evidence has not linked radiofrequency energy exposure from cell phone use to any health problems.
