The stadium in St. Petersburg will be presented to UEFA on May 15, 2020


The St. Petersburg Arena will be presented to UEFA during the European football championship in 2020. The deputy head of the Russian organizing committee, Dmitry Polyakov, announced this during a meeting on the implementation of the measures for the preparation of the matches of the EC-2020 in the city.

– After the UEFA Committee's last visit, the date of transfer of the stadium for UEFA's exclusive use during the tournament was agreed. This is May 15, 2020, – said Polyakov.

Previously, Russian sports minister Pavel Kolobkov said that UEFA's delegations were satisfied with Russia's level of preparedness for Euro 2020.

We recall that St. Petersburg will take three matches of the group stage and the final 8/8 match.
