This Friday is San Miguel and, as tradition marks, the San Miguel summer It is already here and at its peak. It is expected that today temperatures rise in almost the entire country, and exceed normal values for this time with maximums above 35 ºC in the southwestern quadrant of the peninsula, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

This Friday, the weather is more like mid-August than late September. Temperatures will reach 30 degrees on average in Spain and will reach 35 in the south of the Peninsula.

It is expected stable weather with clear skies and some intervals of high clouds in the Peninsula and in the Balearic Islands, although in Galicia and the western Cantabrian Sea cloudy skies or with intervals of low clouds are expected that will move to the rest of the Cantabrian area throughout the day, while in Galicia and western part of Asturias the sky will tend to clear.

The cloudiness could leave some weak rain or drizzle in the north of Galicia and the coasts of Cantabria and east of Asturias; while in the Balearic Islands and in Mediterranean areas of the Peninsula some scattered intervals of low morning clouds and, in the Canary Islands, intervals of low clouds at the beginning of the day in the north of the islands with greater relief and little cloudiness in the rest, with increasing cloudiness in those with greater relief.

Scattered morning fog banks will be likely on peninsular Mediterranean coasts and in the Balearic Islands, especially in Menorca and around the lower Ebro, as well as in Galicia and western Asturias; and also, at the end of the day, in the rest of the Cantabrian area; while in the Canary Islands, haze may enter throughout the day.
